Pasta colanders with wooden handle has been used extensively by chefs who cook ramen since the older times.
It is a handy tool for scooping and straining boiled noodles. Boiling noodle in the basket, it is possible to prepare a proper amount to serve each bowl. Noodles will be strained properly in the cylindershaped basket without slipping out.
Traditionally, colanders are made of lighter metals such as rolled stainless steel and aluminum such but some colanders are made of plastic and/or silicone.
Using a pasta colander, you can prepare a good meal of pasta by boiling the spaghetti and because it takes a longer time (around fifteen minutes to cook the spaghetti) it is important to start off by cooking the spaghetti. Meanwhile, you can start preparing the tomato sauce, or cream sauce depending on your preference. Clean the mushrooms and ingredients by placing them inside the collapsible colander and rinse them through running water. Chop up the mushroom and ingredients needed.
